Balance Trainer Birddog Cues:
- Start exercise in a hands and knees position (knees on balance trainer): balancing knee in the middle of balance trainer, core engaged, hands under shoulders, look three feet in front of you, and maintain a neutral spine.
- Keep a straight line as you raise your opposite arm and leg to hold for the duration of the exercise.
- (For a simple power up to the exercise try to raise your toe of the leg that is balancing on the balance trainer).
- Maintain stability as you hold the position for the allotted time.
Ideas for Exercise Uses:
- Perform as a warm-up exercise prior to a core workout.
- Add as a kneeling exercise to a balance training workout.
- Use as a power up exercise after mastering basic birddog variations.
